Pre-school Learners

We offer both home-based and center-based early learner programs for toddlers and young children. Each child works with trained therapists who target individualized goals to prepare them for the future. The programs emphasize language development, social skills training, play skills, independent skills, and behavior management strategies. Children can also apply their skills in our small group after-school programs.  All programs are designed and supervised by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to ensure ongoing progress and monitoring.

School Aged Learners

We offer in-home ABA therapy for school-aged children (Kindergarten to High School). Each program is individually created to address the learner’s unique needs, with assessment and program development conducted by a BCBA. Implementation is carried out by Behavior Technicians (BT) or Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT). Programs address core areas such as language development, social skills, behavioral management, self-management, compliance, and the development of independent skills. Children also have the chance to generalize social skills in our weekly center-based groups.

  • Four young children sit at small tables eating a meal with fruit and vegetables, each holding a drink in a brightly lit classroom or daycare setting.
  • A woman and a young boy sit at a table, smiling and giving each other a high five, with school supplies and an open notebook in front of them.
  • A teacher sits in front of a group of children, some with raised hands, in a bright classroom with large windows.

Teen/Adult Learners (16 and Over)

We provide in-home, center-based, and community-based ABA sessions for teen and adult learners aged 16 and above. Each program is individualized based on comprehensive assessment tools that identify specific areas of need, allowing for a customized skill-building plan. Adult learner programs focus on developing and refining social skills, behavior management, and generalizing skills to natural environments, helping participants achieve greater independence and success.

When appropriate, teens and adults may join our community-based social skills program. These sessions take place at community venues such as malls, bowling alleys, golf courses, and restaurants. Groups are facilitated by a Registered Behavior Technician, and all participants must demonstrate safety and independence in community settings. This structure allows for the generalization and practice of skills in enjoyable, real-world environments with staff support.

  • Two young women sit at a table, one using a laptop while the other writes in a notebook. They appear to be working or studying together.
  • Two women sit and discuss while looking at notebooks; one points at a page and the other holds a pencil, suggesting a collaborative work or study session.
  • A student and a teacher sit at a table in a library, writing in notebooks and reviewing material together.

Food Selectivity Programs

All food selectivity programs are individually designed to foster success and promote the generalization of eating. Our team works collaboratively to introduce and integrate new foods into children’s diets, following evidence-based practices and a team-oriented approach.

Social Skills Group

Cornerstone now offers weekly, center-based social skills groups, separated into two age brackets: pre-school through grade 3 and grades 4 through 7. Students are paired with same-age peers, providing opportunities to practice and generalize skills learned during individual sessions throughout the week.

Families: Advocacy Services

At Cornerstone, our commitment to supporting families and learners extends beyond direct services provided to your child. We recognize that true success is built through collaboration across all aspects of a learner’s life. Because children spend approximately six hours each day in school, it is crucial that they have access to the least restrictive and most appropriate educational environments. This access significantly contributes to their overall development and achievement.

To support this goal, our Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Special Educators actively participate in team meetings and Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings. Through their involvement, they work to facilitate communication among all team members and ensure that each student’s unique needs are addressed. Additionally, our professionals are dedicated to empowering parents by providing education and guidance. By equipping families with the necessary knowledge and strategies, we help pave the way for successful futures for every child we serve.
