Consultation/ Contractual Services
Behavioral Intervention Services
Behavioral Intervention Services are designed for school-aged students and are delivered by Special Education Teachers or Board-Certified Behavior Analysts. These services are aligned with each learner’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and focus on helping students generalize skills between school and home environments. Additionally, these services address behavioral challenges that may be unique to the home. Providers use targeted techniques to promote independence and support the overall behavioral development of each learner.
In-School Consultation Services
In-school consultation is delivered by our team of experienced Board-Certified Behavior Analysts. These professionals provide a range of consultative services, which may include staff education and training, skills-based assessments, classroom management strategies, Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), and Positive Behavior Support Plans. All FBAs and BIPs are developed in accordance with New York State standards, ensuring the use of evidence-based strategies to produce high-quality reports that support each student’s unique needs.
Empowering staff is a top priority. We are committed to supporting educators by delivering a comprehensive foundation of knowledge, enabling them to independently implement and utilize a variety of skills taught during consultation. At Cornerstone, we believe in fostering collaborative and professional working relationships with everyone we work with.
Professional Development
Cornerstone Behavioral Services provides a comprehensive selection of professional development opportunities for school personnel. Each training course is thoughtfully tailored to address the unique needs of your staff, ensuring relevance and practical application in the school environment.
Our professional development sessions encompass a variety of topics, including proactive strategies, practical evidence-based approaches, prompting and prompt fading techniques, and best practices for fostering inclusion. Additional subject areas may also be addressed based on staff needs.
Training can be delivered as stand-alone sessions or as part of a structured series, providing flexibility to meet both short-term and ongoing professional learning goals.
Efficiency Review (Behavioral Documentation & Data Compliance)
At Cornerstone, our commitment to excellence extends well beyond direct placement and educational services. We place a strong emphasis on the success of each learner, working diligently to ensure that every district we partner with delivers the highest standard of care for individuals with disabilities.
A core component of our support is the comprehensive Efficiency Review process, which examines all district-wide behavioral documentation. This includes a thorough review of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Our goal is to ensure that every behavioral template and document not only meets, but consistently exceeds, the standards set by New York State.
Our team collaborates with districts to develop and unify behavioral documents, establishing consistent quality of care across all settings. In addition, we design and implement data collection and documentation systems that support the ongoing use and effectiveness of all plans and behavioral documents. These processes facilitate continued compliance, promote best practices, and help districts maintain a cohesive approach to behavioral support for all learners.
Registered Behavior Technicians
Cornerstone provides Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to deliver dedicated support to learners with the most significant behavioral challenges. Our RBT team is composed of highly trained and thoroughly vetted staff members, ensuring that each technician meets the rigorous standards required to support our students effectively. All Registered Behavior Technicians are required to complete a 40-hour online training course, followed by a competency examination to demonstrate their proficiency in essential skills and knowledge.
Ongoing supervision is a key component of our RBT program. Each technician receives continuous oversight from a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, which includes regular case conferencing and monthly training sessions. This ongoing support equips our RBTs with a strong foundational knowledge base and ensures they remain current with best practices in the field. By maintaining high standards for training and supervision, Cornerstone’s RBTs are well-prepared to support the diverse needs of your most challenging learners.

Behavior Intervention Services (Home/Community)
Behavior intervention services (BIS) are offered in home or community settings. Our team works directly with school-aged learners, implementing Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to address each student’s individual needs. Our staff, composed of Special Education Teachers and Behavior Analysts, collaborate to ensure each learner’s success. The goal of these services is to reduce challenging or maladaptive behaviors and develop a repertoire of positive, functional skills.
Parent Education (Home/Community)
Parent Education services are provided directly to parents and caregivers, focusing on teaching practical skills to manage challenging behaviors. Caregivers will gain essential skills to support their child’s success.
Our providers strive to improve parent-child relationships, reduce challenging behaviors, increase positive behaviors, teach functional strategies, promote consistency, and strengthen parents’ confidence in their abilities.
